Canine chiropractic care
A dog can benefit from chiropractic care in the same way that humans can. They will compensate for current or past injuries, stiffness and pain by changing their movement patterns and posture. This leads to dysfunctional movement, which can be an additional cause for pain and lead to further injury. We are interested in helping restore normal movement and seek to help find the cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms.
There are many reasons that a person may seek chiropractic care for their dog, some of which can be;

-
a current or past injury
-
to enhance performance
-
to prevent injury
-
often engaging in rough or boisterous play
-
being a working dog and/or carrying out repetitive movements e.g flyball, agility, playing fetch
-
a change in behaviour
-
arthritis

Ultimately, the owner and handler knows their dog best. Some signs and symptoms that may indicate your dog could benefit from a chiropractic examination;
-
a change in behaviour
-
reluctance to walk, jump in or/and out of the car or climb the stairs
-
deterioration in performance
-
over sensitive to touch or grooming
-
lick granulomas
-
abnormal gait pattern
-
wonky sit
-
unusual tail carriage
-
difficulty and stiffness getting up after lying down
