Human chiropractic care

Modern lifestyles play a huge factor in why many of us seek chiropractic care for our own bodies. Many of us have jobs that are too sedentary, involve repetitive movements, heavy lifting or are high pressured causing chronic stress. On top of this, at weekends we might expect our body to run our fastest 5k or climb Mount Snowdon. All these factors can have a physical impact on the body causing biomechanical dysfunction which can eventually result in symptoms of pain and stiffness and increase the likelihood of further injury.

Whether it is an acute injury, pregnancy related aches and pains, a chronic pain you have been living with or just simply performance enhancement and injury prevention, a chiropractor will take a full history and examination and be able to give an accurate diagnosis and advise whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.

Chiropractic care for humans has been mentioned in the NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) guidelines since 2016, specifically for the treatment of low back pain and sciatica. It is a set of guidelines used by the NHS and other healthcare professionals that keeps up to date with evidence based research to provide appropriate treatment options and advice for medical conditions.

Chiropractors regularly see patients with back and neck pain but we also can help with a number of other conditions including:

  • Joint pains

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Hip and knee pain

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Sports injuries

  • Ankle sprains

  • Shoulder injuries

  • Elbow pain

  • Muscle tension
